Raising children is never a simple task. While parenting often tests one's patience, children can also bring joy and laughter into our lives.
One father nearly felt his world shatter when he discovered a letter written by his teenage son, addressed specifically to him.
As he walked past his son’s bedroom, he was surprised to see the bed neatly made and everything tidied up.

On the pillow, he noticed an envelope prominently placed. It was labeled, "Dad." With a sense of dread, he opened it and began to read:
“Dear Dad, It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing to you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you."
The letter continued, explaining that the boy "found real passion with Stacy," even though he was certain his parents wouldn’t approve of her.

According to the note, Stacy had tattoos, piercings, wore tight motorcycle clothing, and was a few years older than the teen.
If that wasn’t troubling enough, the father’s heart sank as he read further:
"She’s pregnant, Dad. Stacy said that we would be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children."

The letter revealed that Stacy had also enlightened him about how "marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone" and mentioned their plans to grow it.
Not just for themselves, but to trade for as much cocaine and ecstasy as they could desire.

The boy concluded by asking his father to pray that science discovers a cure for AIDS, as Stacy "really deserves to get better."
He reassured his dad that, at 15 years old, he was capable of taking care of himself. He also promised to visit soon so his father could meet all of his future grandchildren.

The father was on the verge of tears when he reached the last paragraph:
"P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Jason’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that’s on the kitchen table. Call when it is safe for me to come home!"
