Bongino is set to team up with Kash Patel, who was just approved by the Senate to lead the FBI. Trump indicated that Patel selected Bongino for this position. Senate approval is not needed for this appointment.
Trump shared on Truth Social, his social media platform, "Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice!", referring to Bongino as "a man of incredible love and passion for our Country."
Bongino's background includes time as a New York City police officer and service within the U.S. Secret Service. More recently, he gained recognition as a radio host and podcaster known for his conservative viewpoints.
