Act who ‘went missing’ during Britain’s Got Talent semi-final pulls out of show

The act made headlines after pulling out of a live semi-final at the last minute, but has now fully pulled out

An act who ‘went missing’ during Britain’s Got Talent’s live semi-finals has pulled out of the show.

Teddy Magic, the eight-year-old who got into the semi-finals with his outstanding magic act, shockingly did not appear when called upon at a live show a couple of weeks ago.

Due to the shows airing live it forced Ant and Dec to have to navigate this and buy time after they were informed that Teddy was ‘not ready’ to come out and perform.

This led the presenting duo to jokingly scold Simon Cowell after he was left asking what was going on, saying: “He’s only eight years old, so back off.”

Viewers were informed that Teddy would be performing on a later semi-final, however were left confused when he didn’t come out for the second semi-final that took place last night.

Fans took to X after he didn’t come out on the second live semi-final. One tweeted: “No Teddy Magic tonight again? What’s going on?”

Another said: “Still no Teddy Magic I see…”

It has now been confirmed by The Sun that the eight-year-old magician has withdrawn from the show.

The Britain’s Got Talent team gave a statement to The Sun, saying: “After discussions with Teddy’s parents and the production team, it has been jointly agreed that Teddy won’t perform in this year’s semi-finals, but BGT hopes to see Teddy again in a future series.”

Teddy’s family released a statement saying: “We want to thank everyone who has supported Teddy and cheered him on – he continues to fill our world with magic.”

The eight-year-old’s initial audition was his first time on stage, having not performed at as much as a school talent show.

Prior to his semi-final no-show, the magician went as high as second in bookie’s odds to win the entire series.

Speaking following his audition to KentOnline, Teddy admitted that his audition was a ‘tense’ moment, but said that he found it ‘really cool’.
