At 40 years old, Angrela White is a veteran in the game, having started in adult films at just 18.
With nearly two decades of experience behind her, she’s seen the rise and fall of multiple platforms – from DVD domination to internet piracy to the rise of OnlyFans.
In a revealing interview, Angela admitted that the scenes that bring in the highest payouts are often the ones that demand the most preparation.
Speaking about one of the most lucrative acts, she said: “There’s a process that we go through to clean out and prepare for anal, so more labour time equals more money,” she explained, per the Daily Mail.
She went on: “You’re not paying me extra for anal; you’re paying me not to eat because I love eating.”
Angela also revealed that before discovering how much more she could earn from these more intense scenes, she wasn’t exactly thrilled about doing them.
While Angela had long established herself through traditional porn production, it was the pandemic that pushed her into the next phase of her career: full-blown digital creator.
“It was really Covid that got me on OnlyFans,” she told Life Uncut Podcast. “I was in my house not able to shoot how I usually do and I was like ‘what can I do?’ I still wanted to express my sexuality and be able to earn a living.”
OnlyFans turned out to be more than just a backup plan. It gave her control, creative freedom, and serious money—so much so that she’s now in the top 0.01 percent of creators on the platform.
“Not everybody in the top 0.01 percent is making $7 million in two months, but it’s really good money, it’s really amazing,” Angela shared.
Looking back on her early career, Angela remembers a very different world. DVDs ruled, and p*rn distribution was tightly controlled by production studios. That all changed when websites like P*rnHub exploded in the late 2000s.
But with that accessibility came a downside: piracy.
“When porn became more easily accessible that was actually really bad for the adult industry because piracy and torrenting meant that there was less money for the industry, which also meant less money for performers,” she said.
OnlyFans helped flip that script by putting content behind a paywall again, bringing revenue back into the hands of the performers.
Angela sees OnlyFans as more than a cash cow. It’s an industry-level shift that’s changed how porn works – and who holds the power.
“The great thing about OnlyFans is that its behind a paywall so now fans need to pay if they want access to the content,” she said.
“Every performer is now a content creator,” she added. The platform gives adult stars the chance to own their content and potentially earn passive income over time.
That being said, Angela is clear about the grind it takes to get to the top – and that no, OnlyFans isn’t a magical money tree.
“Just because somebody says they’re in the top 0.01 per cent doesn’t mean that money came easily. There’s a lot of work that goes into that,” she said.
“If you’re starting with no brand, you’re going to have to build that brand up.”
Angela hasn’t publicly disclosed how much she makes on the platform, but comparisons speak volumes. Celebs like Bella Thorne have reportedly earned $11 million per month, while Cardi B claimed she pulled in $9 million monthly back in 2021.
Though Angela hasn’t dropped figures, she doesn’t downplay the earning potential.
“It can be really good money,” she admitted.
